My First Christmas Morning!

I'm sporting my fashionable and snuggly '1st Christmas' sleeper and my lovely headband! :) My first Christmas was a white one and there is more to come soon on all my festivities on Christmas day!

Waking Up Is Hard To Do!

Here is a classic video of me waking up in the morning...it is hard to do and is quite a process for me, but Mommy & Daddy think I am really cute when I'm waking up!

My First 'Real' Outfit

Usually I like lounging in my sleepers all day, plus they are much less trouble to change in the event that I spit up on them! However, I got to sport my first pair of pants and my first 'real' outfit the other day...my shirt says 'my grandma makes me happy'...aren't I cute in pants?!

My First Chiro Appointment

Mommy and Daddy bundled me up for my first chiropractic appointment last week. Boy, was I glad! You can really get out of whack after coming through the birth canal! I had a pretty amazing poopy diaper afterwards. It went through my clothes and everything, so the chiro apparently pushed the right button!

No More Umbilical Cord!

My umbilical cord fell off when I was 1 week and 1 day old exactly! Now, I can admire my cute little belly button!

Ahhh Sleep...

Sleeping is one of my favorites! ....well, I don't always sleep as much as Mommy and Daddy would like me to at night...sometimes I get my days and nights mixed up! Here is a video of some of my smiles during sleeping...it makes me happy!!

Enjoying Mommy's boppy

Mommy's boppy is a comfy place for me to take little cat naps after I eat. Often I like to eat a little and then take a short nap, then eat some more, and take another nap...this is how I love to spend my days! Mommy manages to squeeze in a load of laundry here and there so that I have clean outfits, bibs, and burp cloths without spit up on them...I can really go through a lot of those in a day!

I love my sling!

Last week I got to try out my sling and it was INCREDIBLE!! Mommy needed to get some things done around the house so she put me in my sling so I could try it out. I fell asleep within a few minutes, it was so warm and cozy! Plus, I like being close to my Mommy!

My first swaddle!

Mommy and Daddy are experimenting with some different ways of settling me into a good night's sleep and the most recent is not my favorite. It does seem to help me stay asleep longer, but anytime I remember how my arms are pinned down, I begin to attempt my Houdini act to get them out. Let's just say I am strong beyond my age, and this just gives me an opportunity to work my biceps even more!
This is Daddy putting me in my first swaddle. I can tell they still aren't very sure how long this method will last! ;)

More Newborn Pics

Aren't I Cute?!

Well, I had quite the experience last weekend during my first photo shoot...which conveniently took place at home. However, I didn't especially like the cold draft I experienced without my clothes on! As a result, we had many fun messes for mommy to clean up! So although I look very peaceful in these pics, they were taken in between many meals, snacks, and clean-ups!

Happy Birthday Livy!

I celebrated my 1 week birthday with my mommy and daddy last week, which was a lot of fun...although I didn't partake in the 'cake'...still on a steady diet of mommy's milk and that's what I prefer:) Actually I slept through the whole party, but I think mommy and daddy had a good time!

My First...

I am obviously experiencing many firsts in my new home...when you haven't been around long, everything is new or a first! I had my first 'sponge' bath a week ago...as you can see my Daddy and Mema trying to keep me warm and clean me up a bit:)
I also had my first outing last week as well, because my mommy had a final presentation to give in class. Technically I slept the entire time...was asleep when we left (you can see me conked out in my carseat) and slept until we were back home! We haven't gotten out a whole lot, which I'm pretty glad about...it's cold out there!

Gifts...

We have been showered with sweet gifts and meals from our family and friends! It has made our first couple of weeks much easier and enjoyable! Thank you so much! The Schitters brought us a beautiful bouquet of flowers, Trader Joe's sent home a lovely bouquet with my mom when she went to do our grocery shopping, and my wonderful JuicePlus family sent me a gorgeous edible arrangement! Lovely!

My First Week in My New Home

Well, I'm gradually getting used to this strange place that is now home to me. It's very different from my cozy little home inside mommy. I actually have to wear clothes and diapers and they get changed often, which makes me cold and sometimes cranky...those things were never necessary before!! But, I'm fine as soon as I get to eat. That part I really like.
I'm starting to keep my eyes open longer and check out all the interesting things going on around me...I especially like looking at my mommy and daddy when they hold me, or any bright lights that may be near! My daily routine is pretty simple right now, although I'm not very into schedules yet:) Sleep, eat, diaper change. That just about sums it up. I love when my mommy and daddy hold me, it makes me feel cozy again like I was inside mommy.
