Crooked Sleeper

I often find Livy in her swing cocked over to one side. No matter how many times we straighten her out, she continues to lean back over! She has started wanting to sit up quite a bit and will squeeze her abs to try to raise herself up when she is in her swing or in your lap.She combines that with leaning to her left side in the swing, it is unreal!

My First trip to Trader Joe's

This is definitely a milestone, as our family loves Traders! Don't know what we would do without it! Liv was mesmerized, as you can see, and had some huge smiles that we didn't catch on camera!

I love my Ergo!!

Mommy has recently been wearing me in the Ergo around the house sometimes to get chores accomplished and I love it! It's cozy and comfy and I usually take a little nap during the ride!

I have an arm!...

...well, at least a right arm that is :) Liv has been discovering and intently studying her arm lately...only her right one, not so sure she realizes she has a left one yet! :) She also has found her fist and likes sucking on both of them, which is great, as she is learning to self-soothe. I was able to capture a few cute moments of Liv being mesmerized by her arm!

Miss Hannah B...

My cousin Cassie and her 2 yr. old little girl Hannah came to visit when we were in TN, and I had to post this cute video of Hannah--she is a cutie and has tons of personality! Cassie follows my blog and had been telling Hannah about Livy and showing her pics of her on the blog before we came. As soon as she walked in the door at my parents house, she started asking, "Where's Livy?" Here's to you sweet Hannah!

Improving my Mimicking Skills!

I can compete with the best of them with mimicking! Although you can't see my Daddy's face in this video, just know that I am mimicking exactly what he is doing...make sure you watch to the end!! :)

Liv & Cousin Lucas

I love hanging out with my cousin Lucas. He takes good care of me, as you can see him brushing my hair here...I can't wait until I get to go play with him again! :)

Visiting in Indiana

As you can tell, we have spent lots of time on the road the last few weeks! Last week we went to Indiana to visit more of Livy's family and friends that she had yet to meet! We had a great time, and it was neat to see how she interacted with everyone...looks like her buddy Kuyper might have some competition with her new found friend Luke Smith (Corey and Janet's little boy) who was making the moves on her, as you can see!

She loved meeting everyone, but I think she was very happy to get back on home turf for a while now!!

Growing Up....

Well, I am happy to say that this is one time in life that it is okay (and actually good) to double your weight in 2 months! I'm pretty proud about it and don't mind all the 'she's a big girl!' or 'she's a little chubster' comments! Supposedly, those are compliments when you are a baby. One thing I can say is that mommy's milk is good!!
Although I have always done well with my latch, it takes a little while to figure out how to be most efficient with drinking my milk. Mommy used to have to nurse me 45 min. at a time but now, 10 or 15 min. does the trick!
I like to spend my extra time on my playmat these days (thank you Bebo!). You can see Kuyper and I on it (he's making moves on me)...lots of colors and sounds. In the last couple of days, I've been learning some 'cause and effect' by reaching out and touching the things I see hanging from my playmat.
Just this morning I started a slight giggle...not a full one yet, but I like to make everyone hold out :) Seeing their anticipation is fun!

Let's see....oh, how could I forget? I had my 2 month checkup last week. Those of you who have met me will not be shocked that I was off the charts on weight, which the Doc said was a good thing! I am now almost 15 lbs! Double my birth weight! 90th % on height, close to 25" long. The doctor said breastfed babies tend to grow much faster the first 3 months and then taper off the next 9. So I should have at least another month of psycho growth!
People like to tell me that I have a nice shaped head, a good complexion, lovely, bright blue eyes, and a pretty, teethless smile. Thanks for all the compliments!! Those are the most common.
Mommy always has me doing something fun and new around here, there's always an adventure and something new to learn...maybe I'll share more on that another time!

I've decided that I really love my mommy and daddy, they are definitely keepers. When they come into a room or talk to me, my face lights up, I just can't help it!

You can see me here in my awesome leggings and with Ashley, who we affectionately call Aunt Ash. She's pretty awesome. I like when she and Kuyper come visit me during the day sometimes...and of course Uncle Matt but he works during the day, so he usually comes with them on the weekend.

Hope this helps catch you up on life for me the past few weeks. Mommy has been busy with me, so she hasn't been able to update everyone, so I thought I would help her out:)

Meeting My TN Family & Friends

We recently made a trip to TN so Livy could meet all of her great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends--and of course her Mema, Papa, Lucas, and Uncle Jacob....she never knew she had so many people anticipating her arrival! It was such a fun time, and she did great! Especially considering all the new faces and people, she was very pleasant and gave some sweet smiles and a few conversations along the way. Our trip down was pretty smooth. Other than when we stopped to nurse her, she slept the rest of the time....it took us about 8 hours (normally 6) to get there. However, we had to leave a bit early because of a snow storm that was going to be passing through St. Louis, so our ride home was the regular 6 hours. We booked it!
To our TN family and friends, thanks for making it such a blessed and fun trip. Livy loved meeting everyone and can't wait to come back and show you all the new things she is learning!
